Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup honey

Directions:

  1. To make the cake:.
  2. Preheat oven 350°F.
  3. Beat together eggs, sugar, oil, and honey.
  4. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the honey mixture. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Mix in vanilla and nuts.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples.
  7. Pour batter into a lightly greased and floured 9x13 cake pan.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes.
  9. To make the glaze:.
  10. Combine the 4 glaze ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
  11. Boil for 2 1/2 minutes.
  12. While cake is still warm, poke holes in it with a fork. Pour the honey glaze all over the cake.
