Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour , sifted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp clove
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/3 cups light brown sugar , packed
  • 1 cup apple, finely chopped , unpared

Directions:

  1. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and spices.
  2. Cream sugar and butter.
  3. Add egg and mix well.
  4. Stir in half of dry ingredients.
  5. Add nuts, raisins, and apples.
  6. Mix in milk and rest of dry ingredients.
  7. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets. Cookies should be placed about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake at 400 degrees from 12 to 14 minutes.
