Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Cream margarine, gradually add sugar, beating well.
  2. Add eggs; mix well.
  3. Combine next 5 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with orange juice, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
  4. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Fold in apples and raisins.
  6. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9-inch pie plate.
  7. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick comes.
  8. Out clean.
  9. Cut cake into wedges; serve with whipped cream if desired.
