Lazy Banana Split Cake

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Pepare the cake according to package directions and cool completely
  2. Place half of the whipped Cream for topping into each of two bowls
  3. Fold berries into one
  4. Fold pineapple into the other
  5. Place fudge topping in a small saucepan (over hot water is best), stir until just warm
  6. Assembly
  7. Using a serrated knife or thin string, split each layer in half horizontally
  8. Place first split layer on cake plate and top with strawberry cream mixture to edge of layer
  9. Place next split layer on top and spread with half of the warm fudge, allowing to drip down sides a bit
  10. Sprinkle with half the nuts
  11. Add next split layer and top with pineapple Cream mixture spreading to edge of layer
  12. Add last split layer and top with second half of fudge topping, again letting it drip down sides
  13. Sprinkle with last half of nuts
  14. Garnish with sliced banana just before serving
  15. Serve immediately or place a few toothpicks in top, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving.
