Aunt Liz's Almond Broccoli Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 4 -6 cups broccoli
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 cup cheese whiz
  • 1 (10 oz) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/2 cup crouton

Directions:

  1. Pre-stream broccoli for about 5 minutes.
  2. Saute onions and garlic in butter.
  3. Add soup, cheese whiz and mushrooms to sauteed onion mixture.
  4. Put broccoli into a greased casserole dish and pour sauce over it.
  5. Sprinkle the almonds over this and then sprinkle the croutons on top.
  6. Bake at 350 degF for 30 minutes.
