Fruit And Brazil Nut Loaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teasp. baking powder
  • 1 teasp. salt
  • 10- oz box whole pitted dates
  • 1 teasp. vanilla

Directions:

  1. Sift together the dry ingredients into a bowl
  2. Add dates, nuts, and cherries.
  3. Stir to coat with the flour mixture
  4. Add the eggs and the vanilla
  5. Blend everything well
  6. Spoon batter into 2 well greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pans
  7. Bake at 325' F for 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes
  8. Cool
