Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Sift flour and salt into a large bowl. Add egg and 1/4 cup milk. Mix until smooth, adding another 1/4 cup of milk gradually. Stir in remaining milk. Heat 1/2 cup beef drippings in 8x8x2 pan at 450* until haze rises from the fat. Pour in batter. Bake about 40 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Serve with roast beef and gravy.
