Old-Fashioned Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tbsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 lb raisins

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, add water and salt; heat until boiling.
  2. Add in oats;cook for 5 minutes; cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients; add in oats; mix to combine.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 13x9 inch pan.
  5. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 2 hours.
  6. Serve hot.
