Maple Pecan French Toast Souffle

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Grease 13x9 casserole dish
  2. In food processor, COARSELY chop the croissants
  3. Distribute the coarse crumbs evenly in dish
  4. In processor again, combine cream cheese, butter and the 1/4 cup maple syrup
  5. Dollop 8 spoonfuls evenly spaced in the casserole dish
  6. In large bowl, beat together the eggs, half and half and the remaining 1/2 cup maple syrup
  7. Pour over the ingredients in the dish
  8. Sprinkle with the cinnamon
  9. Cover and refrigerate 8-10 hours
  10. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  11. Bake uncovered, 45-50 minutes until set, puffed, and golden
  12. THIS IS MORE THAN DELICIOUS!
  13. SAUCE:
  14. To make the sauce, heat the butter and syrup together
  15. Pour OVER the warm souffle, sprinkle with powdered sugar and pecans
  16. Garnish with strawberries or other berries
