Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • milk or half and half..i prefer half and half when i have it in
  • dash of salt
  • no sugar here
  • fry pan

Directions:

  1. I cube up the bread
  2. Mix the eggs with the cream/milk
  3. Dash salt...not much makes egg tough
  4. Pour egg mix over bread let it soak a bit. Dont mush it up, bread should stay like cubes.
  5. Be sure it is moist not dry. It will be custardy that way.
  6. Heat the oil
  7. Pour in a laddle full of mixture in center of pan and spread a bit. It will be lumpy because of cubes I make one per pan, a big size almost a small plate size.
  8. Brown well until golden and crispy
  9. Flip do other side. sometimes I need two spatulas
  10. Serve with syrup, butter, anything...I love butter on mine with salt.
