Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups applesauce
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar, add egg and the vanilla.
  2. Sift dry ingredients and add to butter- sugar mixture. Blend.
  3. Add dates, applesauce, nuts, and raisins.
  4. Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
