Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar , firmly packed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp butter or 1 tbsp margarine, melted
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Lightly grease cookie sheet. In med.
  3. Bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; mix well.
  4. With pastry blender or fork, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
  5. Add milk all at once; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  6. On floured surface, gently knead dough 5 or 6 times.
  7. Place on greased cookie sheet; press into a 6 round, about 1 thick.
  8. Brush top with melted butter.
  9. In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon; mix well.
  10. Sprinkle over top.
  11. Cut into 8 wedges; separate slightly.
  12. Bake for 20-30 minute.
  13. Or until golden brown.
  14. Serve warm.
