Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta to al dente, drain - reserving 1 c. pasta water
  2. Heat butter and oil over medium heat - add onion and garlic, saute for a minute or so - pour in tomato/marinara sauce - add salt, pepper and sugar to taste - stir and cook over low heat for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally
  3. Remove from heat and stir in cream - add cheese to taste and then check seasonings - stir in pasta and serve immediately (thin with pasta water, if needed)
