La Madeleine's Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

  1. Combine the first 3 ingredients in a large pot and simmer for about 25 minute.
  2. Blend the mixture in a blender and return to the pot over low heat.
  3. Mix together flour and milk until no lumps appear.
  4. Add milk mixture, butter and basil to the tomato base. Stir constantly until thickened ( about 5 min).
