  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease 9-inch glass baking dish.
  3. Heat oil and butter in heavy large saucepan over medium-low heat. Add garlic, onion, bell pepper and sauté until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in tomatoes with the juice. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper and simmer until saucelike, stirring constantly, about 10 minutes. remove from heat and add fresh basil.
  4. Arrange fish in prepared dish. Pour sauce over. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake until fish is cooked through and top is golden, about 25 minutes.
