Ingredients:

  • 12 oz salmon
  • 1 inch piece gingerroot
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (i used shoyu)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 -2 cup water (enough to mostly cover the fish)
  • 1 -2 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Peel ginger and slice thinly.
  2. Season salmon with pepper.
  3. Mix everything but the salmon in a pan and bring to a boil.
  4. Once the water boils, place salmon into pan and reduce to a simmer.
  5. Cook thoroughly. The fish browns and falls apart in the sauce when it is ready.
  6. This is wonderful served over a salad.
