Frosted Polynesian Salad

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook peas as package directs and drain.
  2. Remove seeds and finely dice green peppers.
  3. Thinly slice onion and water chestnuts.
  4. Pare and coarsely grate carrots.
  5. Drain pineapple and mushrooms.
  6. Line a 9 x 13 baking dish with lettuce leaves.
  7. Layer vegetables and pineapple in dish.
  8. Combine frosting ingredients and spread evenly over the top.
  9. Cover dish and chill overnight.
  10. Before serving sprinkle grated cheese and bacon on top.
  11. Cut into squares.
