Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup. cocoa
  • 1/3 cup. shortening or margarine
  • 1 cup. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup. sunflower nuts (opt.)
  • 1/2 cup. chocolate chips (opt.)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease an 8X8 inch square pan
  3. In a medium size bowl mix the first 7 ingredients.
  4. Add the nuts and chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes
  6. Cool.
  7. Sift powdered sugar over top if desired.
