Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Add egg and mix well.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together.
  4. Add alternately with milk.
  5. Grease 12 muffin pan.
  6. Drop batter into pan w/spoon.
  7. Bake on 350 degrees 12- 15 minutes or golden brown on top.
  8. Melt butter.
  9. Mix sugar and cinnamon.
  10. Roll hot muffins in butter then sugar&cinnamon.
  11. Serve warm.
