Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Boil potatoes in a small amount of water until done,drain well
  2. Put potatoes in hand held masher/ricer,rice and add garlic,if using, and mix well.
  3. Let potatoes cool, on a floured board,gragualy add flour working mixture into a dough, with your hands.
  4. Shape potato mixture into a long roll and cut into 10 slices
  5. Dump dumplings into boiling water and gently boil for 5 minutes
  6. Can be served as is or, as the Czech. do most of the time,heat 1 Tbs. butter in a heavy bottomed skillet and brown the dumplings then serve
