Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350°.
  2. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 pan.
  3. Blend sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan.
  4. Bring mixture just to a boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Cool five minutes.
  6. Blend flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  7. Beat eggs into butter mixture.
  8. (You may need to temper the mixture first.) Add butter and egg mixture to flour mixture and mix thoroughly.
  9. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  10. Spread into prepared pan.
  11. Bake 25 minutes.
  12. Cut into 2 x 1 bars.
