Ingredients:

  • 125 g butter
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda , dissolved in
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice

Directions:

  1. Melt butter, sugar,golden syrup and milk in microwave.
  2. Sift flour, cocoa, mixed spice and cinnamon in to mixing bowl.
  3. Add the melted mixture in to the dry mixture.
  4. Stir well and add a few drops of vanilla and the soda and milk mixture.
  5. Bake at 180C for approx 25- 30 minutes.
