Burgers Stuffed with Blue Cheese

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In medium bowl stir together ground beef, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper; form into 8 large 1/4-inch thick patties.
  2. In small bowl stir together blue cheese, cream cheese and mustard.
  3. Place about 2 tablespoons cheese mixture on top of each of 4 patties.
  4. Top each with remaining meat patty; press around edges to seal.
  5. Place hamburgers in large skillet.
  6. Cook over medium heat, turning once, until desired doneness (about 12 minutes for medium).
  7. Place hamburgers on buns.
  8. In same skillet with drippings place mushrooms and onions, add 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
  9. Cook over medium high heat, stirring occasionally, until tender (4 to 5 minutes).
  10. Meanwhile, place tomato slice on each hamburger, top with grilled mushrooms and onions.
