  1. 1st Clean/scrub mussels very very well.pull out beard.
  2. Toss the clean mussels, beer ,onion, garlic and butter into a large pot. Cover and steam over high heat until the mussels open, about 7-8 minutes.
  3. We eat out of one bowl.its a nice way to share.use shells as spoons to slurp up broth.
  4. (any unopened mussels, discard before you take to the table to eat).
  5. Bread Option:.
  6. Drizzle the baguette slices with olive oil, salt and pepper and grill until crispy and golden.
