Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup catsup
  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce
  • 8 (1 1/4-inch- thick) pork loin chops (about 4 1/2 lb)

Directions:

  1. Combine first 10 ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook, uncovered, 30 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Place chops 4 to 5 inches from medium coals; grill 15 minutes on each side, basting frequently with sauce. Serve any remaining sauce with chops.
