Sweet Potatoe Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 6 medium sweet potatoes
  • 6 medium apples
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg or cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp flour

Directions:

  1. Par boil peeed and sliced sweet potatoes.
  2. Peel, core, slice apples (as for pie)
  3. Alternate potatoes and apples in layers in a buttered dish or 9X13 pan.
  4. Sprinkle each layer with butter, sugar,and lemon juice.
  5. Add thickening made of 2 Tablespoons of flour and 1/3 cup water.
  6. Pour on 1 cup hot water and bake at 325* 30 minutes.
