Warm Apples and Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 4 large green apples
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • whipped cream (optional)

Directions:

  1. Peel, core and slice apples.
  2. Preheat a medium skillet over medium to medium-high heat.
  3. Add butter to the skillet, then apples.
  4. Saute 7 or 8 minutes.
  5. Add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  6. Cook 2 minutes more.
  7. Spoon the apples into dessert dishes and top with ice cream and a dollop of whipped cream!
  8. Enjoy!
