  1. Place salad greens in a large bowl. Combine oil and next 5 ingredients; stir well with a wire whisk. Drizzle over greens and toss gently. Top with croutons and sprinkle with freshly ground pepper.
  2. Note: Mixed salad greens come prepackaged in many grocery stores and farmer's markets. Or, you can clean and tear your own mix of greens in advance. Store with a damp paper towel in a large zip-top plastic bag.
