  1. The raw adzuki beans and black beans are cooked separately and added to the soup after all the vegetables and other ingredients have been cooked together.
  2. Adzuki beans double in size so this would be 4 cups of cooked adzuki. Black beans triple in size so there would be 1 1/2 cups of cooked black beans.
