Skillet Green Bananas

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat skillet to a medium heat while you:
  2. Peel & slice bananas (either in circles or lengthwise)
  3. Put bits of butter in the heated pan, then place bananas in it.
  4. Let them simmer till lightly browned (they can suddenly start to burn, so keep the temp from getting too hot), then flip them over to cook the other side.
  5. By this time, they'll start to turn a bit translucent and get a bit mushy.
  6. Drizzle maple syrup over the bananas, let the syrup heat and immediately move them to a plate to cool off a bit. Syrup will be very hot, so be careful not to burn your tender little lips!
  7. Sprinkle spices and toasted pecans over the tops of them, serve on pancakes, waffles, french toast, oatmeal, or just eat them as is.
  8. You could also use your favorite jam instead of syrup, and it will be just as yummy.
