Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp mace , scant
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 2/3 cups evaporated milk

Directions:

  1. Mix eggs, pumpkin, applesauce and sugar together.
  2. Add salt, cinnamon, mace, vanilla and evaporated milk.
  3. Pour into pastry shell.
  4. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
  5. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake 45 minutes more, or until a knife inserted in filling comes out clean.
