Sugar Spiced Pecans

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 lb pecan halves

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except vanilla and pecans.
  2. Cook until syrup spins thin, approximately 5 minutes, after coming to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat; add nuts and vanilla.
  4. Stir nuts quickly until syrup starts to crystalize.
  5. Pour on wax paper.
  6. Gently separate and allow to dry.
