Patricia's Sweet N Sour Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (i used a 50/50 mix of beef and turkey)
  • 1 (1 7/8 oz) packet mushroom soup mix
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp malt vinegar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp plum sauce (optional, found in the asian food section of the supermarket)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)

Directions:

  1. Mix together ingredients for meatballs and roll into small balls.
  2. Brown meatballs in a large skillet.
  3. Combine ingredients for sauce and pour over meatballs in skillet.
  4. Bring to a boil and cook until meatballs are fully cooked (internal temperature of 160° Fahrenheit/71° Celsius).
  5. Serve with rice or baked potatoes to soak up the extra sauce.
