Onion-Smothered Barbecued Turkey Burgers

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix ground turkey, bread crumbs, and half the barbecue sauce.
  2. Shape mixture into four patties, 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Grill until done.
  4. Meanwhile, cut onion in half lengthwise, then cut crosswise into 1/4-inch slices.
  5. Separate into half-rings.
  6. Heat nonstick skillet over med-high heat.
  7. Add onion, cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  8. Reduce heat to medium; cover and cook 2 minutes.
  9. Stir in remaining barbecue sauce.
  10. Reduce heat to med-low and cook 5 minutes longer or until onion is wilted and sauce thickens.
  11. Serve burgers on buns, smothered in onions and extra barbecue sauce.
