Ingredients:

  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/3 cup. water
  • 2/3 cup. sugar
  • 1 cup. rolled oats
  • 1 cup. wheat bran
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup. butter

Directions:

  1. Add boiling water to baking soda. Set aside.
  2. Mix together the sugar, oats, flour, bran and baking powder. Cut in the butter.
  3. Form into 2 balls. Roll out to 1/8 to 1/4 thickness. Cut in 2 squares.
  4. Place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until slightly browned.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  6. Makes about 36.
