Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. This is a bit on the sweet side, delicious and a nice change from savory stews.
  2. In pot heat some olive oil and brown meat and then onions.
  3. Add wine and water plus remaining fruits and seasoning to taste.
  4. Bring to a boil and then cover and simmer until meat is tender (1 1/2 to 2 hours).
  5. Correct seasoning and add some honey (to taste).
  6. Stir in tapioca or flour and cook and stir to thicken mixture.
  7. If you want more of a spicy taste, add the paprika.
  8. Stir in almonds just before serving.
  9. Note: tastes best when allowed to cool and be reheated.
