Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup 100% real fruit no-sugar-added jam

Directions:

  1. Cut bread into small circles with biscuit cutter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, honey, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  4. Make a well in the center.
  5. Beat egg until light and frothy, and mix in milk; pour all at once into well.
  6. Stir lightly to form soft dough.
  7. Add more milk if needed.
  8. Turn dough out onto a floured surface, and knead 8 to 10 times.
  9. Pat or roll out to 3/4-inch thickness.
  10. Using a round cookie cutter, push straight down to cut.
  11. Arrange well apart on a greased baking sheet.
  12. Make a deep hollow in the center of each biscuit.
  13. Drop a small spoonful of jam into each hollow.
  14. Bake at 450°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
