Easy Pumkin Gnochi

Ingredients:

  • (i use canned)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • salt and nutmeg to taste
  • (i like to add 2tsp fresh sage leaves, snipped)

Directions:

  1. Mix together all ingredients, and stir well.
  2. Let stand 1 hour.
  3. Stir again and put on a well floured board. Divide dough into 3 parts.
  4. Roll each part into a long snake about the diameter of a dime.
  5. Cut into 1/2 inch peices
  6. Drop a few peices into rapidly boiling salted water.
  7. As soon as the dumplings rise, skim into a bowl of very cold water. Drain well.
  8. Toss in butter and Serve immediatly
  9. Re-heat in a casserole with plenty of butter.
  10. This is also wonderful with browned butter.
