Coffee and Soy Sauce Roast Beef

Ingredients:

  • 1 (3 -5 lb) beef roast (any kind )
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • oil
  • 1 cup coffee
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Sprinkle roast with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  2. Coat roast with flour and poke all over with fork.
  3. Sear in skillet in hot oil until browned on all sides.
  4. Transfer to roasting dish.
  5. Mix the coffee, soy sauce and sugar together.
  6. Pour over roast.
  7. Cover and roast at 350º for 2-3 hours, or until tender.
  8. About 45 minues before the roast is done, add potatoes, carrots and onions, if desired.
