Chicken Curry or (Cat's Vomit on a Bed of Maggots) for Halloween

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/4 tsp curry powder
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 cup chicken broth (or 1 chicken bouillon cube dissolved in 1 cup hot water)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 -4 cups cooked rice

Directions:

  1. Melt butter over low in heavy saucepan.
  2. Saute onion and curry in melted butter.
  3. Blend in flour and seasonings.
  4. Cook over low heat until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in chicken broth and milk. bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  7. Boil 1 minute.
  8. Add chicken and lemon juice.
  9. Heat
  10. Spoon Chicken Curry over the rice.
