Camarones Enchilados Cuban Shrimp In Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. shrimp
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/3 tsp of red pepper flakes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can of tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. tabasco (or to taste)

Directions:

  1. Clean shrimp with white vinegar and water bath,
  2. Sauté the shrimp in olive oil for 2 minutes.
  3. Add in the finely chopped onion and garlic, sauté for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add in the tomato sauce, dry white wine, vinegar and Tabasco.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat for about 20 minutes.
  6. Uncover, remove from heat and add salt, pepper, and pimentos.
