Betty Crocker's Spicy Mexicali Drumsticks

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 2/3 cup cornmeal
  • salsa , if desired

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400.
  2. Grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2.
  3. Mix buttermilk and pepper sauce in medium bowl.
  4. Mix cornmeal and seasoning mix in large plastic bag.
  5. Dip chicken into buttermilk mixture, then shake in bag to coat with cornbread mixture.
  6. Place in pan & drizzle with oil.
  7. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes, turning once, until juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.
  8. Serve with salsa.
