Anchovy Rondelles Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 slices of white bread
  • 1 2 oz can of anchovies , plus extra slivers for garnish
  • dash of burgess genuine original anchovy sauce (optional)
  • 1 2oz far of red lumpfish caviar

Directions:

  1. Using a cookie cutter with a serrated edge about 2 inches in diameter, cut out 12 circles of bread.
  2. Brush the circles with olive oil.
  3. Toast them in the broiler, oiled isde up, until they are golden.
  4. Preheat oven to 325 egrees.
  5. Thoroughly blend the butter and anchovy fillets.
  6. If you find the imported English anchovy sauce, a dash will improve and enrich the anchovy butter.
  7. Spread the anchovy butter on the untoasted side of half the bread circles. cover with the other 6 circles, toasted side up.
  8. Heat the rondelles gently in the oven and garnish with slivers of anchovy and dab of caviar just before serving.
