Ingredients:

  • 3 medium boiled potatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped finely
  • 7 cloves dried garlic
  • 1 bunch dhania patta, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  • 2 tsp oil

Directions:

  1. Peel off the boiled potatoes and mash it up.
  2. Heat oil, jeera, ginger, garlic in a ladle.
  3. When jeera begins to splutter and change colour, put off the flame.
  4. Transfer the content of ladle to the mashed potatoes.
  5. Roast the dried red chilly over slow fire.
  6. This might smoke, so switch on your kitchen ventilator.
  7. Break the roasted dry chilly in the mashed potato.
  8. Put salt, onion and 1 tbsp uncooked mustard oil.
  9. Add the dhania patta.
  10. Mash everything well, leaving no lumps of unmashed potato.
  11. Serve with daal-rice, khichdi, or stuff it inside flour dough to make aaloo ka paratha.
