Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:

  1. Double sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Have the buttermilk at room temperature.
  3. Add the oil and the egg to the sifted mixture.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of buttermilk and stir.
  5. To the other 1/2 cup stir in the baking soda.
  6. Fold together and prepare to smile as these come off the griddle.
