Directions:

  1. Put butter and onion into large soup pot. Saute until soft and clear.
  2. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Check for seasoning. Makes about 10 cups.
  3. Note: To peel tomatoes, immerse in boiling water for 1 minutes, then peel.
