Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups dates, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup dates
  • 1/3 cup walnuts

Directions:

  1. Beat together banana and butter until creamy.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla and water.
  3. Beat until smooth.
  4. Add flour, baking soda and baking powder and beat well.
  5. Stir in dates.
  6. Spoon into oiled and floured 9 by 13 baking pan.
  7. Spread evenly.
  8. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over bater.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
  10. Cool and serve.
