Spinach Sauteed with Garlic, Figs, and Honey (Emeril Lagasse)

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp thinly sliced garlic
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp honey

Directions:

  1. In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and, when hot, add the garlic and cook until lightly toasted, about 30 seconds. Add the figs and chicken stock and cook until stock is nearly completely reduced, about 2 minutes. Add the spinach and cook, stirring, until wilted, about 2 minutes. Season with the salt and pepper and drizzle with the honey just before serving.
