Ingredients:

  • 6 cans sliced green beans (drain 4 of the cans)
  • 4 to 6 tbsp of bacon grease
  • 10 strips of fried bacon (crumbled into pieces)
  • since you are using bacon grease that is the only seasoning you need....do not salt at all...

Directions:

  1. Empty two cans of beans with liquid in large skillet, drain the remaining beans and add to skillet. Just dump in the grease and bacon. DO NOT ADD WATER. Bring to a boil, let boil for about 30 minutes, then turn heat back to a medium low simmer, depending on your stove...you want the beans to continue to render down slowly....it will start to look like your liquid is gone but remember you have grease in there so your beans will start to shrink down......at that point keep a good eye on them and continue letting them fry until they take on the appearance of shriveling, stirring ocassionaly......they would then be done...ENJOY!
