Sheila's Pierogies Pie

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Boil potatoes until very tender.
  2. Mash with milk, salt and pepper.
  3. (There should be about 2 cups) Mix in cheddar cheese.
  4. In large pot of boiling water, cook noodles until tender but firm.
  5. Drain.
  6. Rinse under cold water until cool enough to handle.
  7. Line bottom of greased 9x13 baking dish with 4 noodles.
  8. Combine cottage cheese, egg and onion salt in bowl.
  9. Spread evenly over noodles.
  10. Top with 4 more noodles.
  11. Spread potato mixture evenly over these noodles.
  12. Cover with remaining noodles.
  13. In skillet, cook onions in butter over med.
  14. Heat for about 10 minute or until soft.
  15. Spread over noodles.
  16. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 30 minute or until heated through and golden.
  17. Let stand 10 minute befor serving with sour cream.
  18. Enjoy!
